Omnipotent God, you are the
source of all that is good.
As we come to
serve you in reverence and joy, we ask you to be
with us,
that we may praise your name and show forth
your love in this your holy dwelling,
through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and
reigns forever and ever. Amen.

A Word From
Our Bishop
The Rt. Rev. John W. Howe
Bishop of Central Florida

All Saints’
Acolyte School will be a blessing to the Diocese, All Saints’, and
especially to the youth and parents who participate in it. I will
look forward to seeing the All Saints’ acolytes, the School Masters,
and the parents at the annual gathering of the acolytes of the
Diocese at St. Luke’s Cathedral in Orlando. That is normally
supplemented by a wonderful day of youth fellowship at Wet n’ Wild.
Being an Episcopal acolyte is an opportunity for youth to
participate in worship. It is also a place where leadership and
knowledge can be developed that will aid a child throughout their
life. In addition, being an acolyte allows a child to spiritually
develop and this will bring strength and stability throughout life.
Therefore, the ministry of the acolyte is one of the best
opportunities in an Episcopal church for youth.
You might want to be careful, though. I started out as an
acolyte, and look what happened to me!
A Word From Our Rector
The Rev. Dr. Al W. Jenkins
All Saints’ Episcopal Church

All Saints’ Acolyte School
is a ministry to the youth of the church. The youth
of the school are educated in the meaning, art, and craft of the
worship of God. In addition, they are trained in the historical
traditions of the practice and spirituality of worship.
Our acolytes are selected from mature youth of the parish
whose parents excel in the spiritual care of their children and who
exhibit excellence in their relationship with Christ.
Not only is great care extended to the youth chosen for
this ministry, but they form a wonderful peerage, which allows them
to enjoy outings, graduations to levels of competence, and a
pilgrimage to the Washington National Cathedral. Here they meet
acolytes from all over the country and from throughout the world.
