From time to time at All Saints' parishioners share
that they have had a miracle in their lives. Miracles happen often
enough for us to want to share with you that the ministry of Jesus
Christ in His Holy Spirit is doing something wonderful here.
People are sometimes reluctant to share their
stories, but when we have one they will share with us and you, we
will post it here.
We will also provide on this page some things the
Bible says about miracles.
Enjoy!
Miracle
in September 2007
Hello Friends,
I
just wanted to update you on my mom (Lula Reeves). I just got off
the phone with her regarding her doctor's appointment today. On
Monday she had an MRI, today she received the results. Her
physician told her he was expecting far worse than what he saw, and
was very surprised. The area on her kidney has not increased in
size and it remains benign. She has bladder retention problems, but
compared to what they were thinking they would find, everyone was
extremely happy.
I
told mom that she has been on our prayer list. She said that during
her daily prayer time, she "knew people that she did not know where
praying for her", she said she could feel the power of their
prayers. I told her it was our prayer team. She asked me to
express her gratitude to everyone!
Thank you, all.....from mama & me!!
Sincerely,
Monica
Miracle in September 2007
Dear Doulos Chapter Members,
Last Saturday my husband and I attended the OSL conference at All
Saints’. We were blessed by Bishop Howe’s teachings and the warm
fellowship we had with other Christians. After the Eucharist, I
went for healing prayer with Sister Jean. She prayed that I would
receive healing for a digestive problem I had for many weeks and
also that I would be able to “lay down” any concerns or worries I
was carrying. During her prayer, I began to cry. By the time my
husband and I returned to our pew, I was really sobbing. I’m not
sure, but I suspect the Lord was touching something more in me than
just my digestive system.
My praise report is that on awakening Sunday morning, I felt much
better. Since then, I have not had any of the troublesome symptoms
I’ve been having daily for a long time. I would ask you all to
please pray Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:14-21 for me. I need the
inner strength through the Holy Spirit to be obedient to the changes
God is showing me to make in my life.
Thank you so much for your ministry and prayers. May God bless
each one of you. In the love of Jesus,
Jo Rohrbaugh
Miracle in April 2008
A Letter to the Rector
Father Al,
I know you saw me limping a few weeks ago and I was trying to ignore
the pain. On Friday, the 25th of April, I did my usual two mile walk
at 5 AM. As far as I know, nothing unusual happened. I didn't fall
or stumble, but that day my left hip started hurting. For six days I
limped and tried not to cry out on each step. I could not sleep in
my bed (I usually start the night in a recliner and go to bed after
midnight when I wake up the first time.) and I could not bear to
even shift around a little in the chair. On the 6th day, I finally
got in to see a P.A., who diagnosed it as a torn muscle or tendon
and prescribed pain pills. That was on Wednesday and so that night
after communion I stopped for prayer in the chapel with Melanie
Hoover of the OSL Prayer Team.
Afterward, I limped to the curb and while waiting for Ken to bring
the car around, Rick Hoover came out to get in his car and stopped
and put an arm around me and said a quick prayer for my healing. I
went home and took one of the pain pills, (my first) and tried to go
to sleep. I woke up the next morning and I had no pain. I knew
immediately what God had done for me. There is absolutely no doubt
in my mind. It is a first for me. I give praise and thanks to
God and thanks to OSL also. The team of Hoover and Hoover is
definitely a winning team.

PS: Melanie sent be a note to read Isaiah 65:24 "Before they call I
will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear." It is now
one of my favorite verses.
