In 1995 The Rt. Rev. John Howe gave all the clergy in the Diocese of Central Florida the challenge to start a Spanish speaking worship service in the parishes and missions. Although he could not speak Spanish and he originally decided the "mountain was too high" to do this, Father Jenkins took up the challenge and over a one year period, he and Father Reid learned the Holy Eucharist in Spanish.

Father Al then recruited those in the congregation that had skills in Spanish and started training them in the supporting roles of Spanish worship. Father Reid has also encouraged and enlisted the services of several people.

Now into its second season, the Spanish Holy Eucharist is flourishing with a small community of thirty people within the life of the larger All Saints' family. The pictures on this page represent that community gathering for its first annual Spanish festival in 2008 - a project of eleven years of prayer and work!

The Spanish Eucharist is held on the first Sunday of the month at 12:30 p.m. in St. Mary's Chapel.

The plan now is to begin to include music in this service and thankfully the Lord has sent Anthony Lopez to begin this process. Anthony has a beautiful baritone voice and when he sings hymns in Spanish, it is spectacular.
