Friday March 15th found the members of All Saints’ Outreach Committee deeply concerned about the weather for Saturday’s Compassion Day. Lots of prayers were said as we decided to have trust and faith in our Lord. On Saturday, the weather was perfect. Our prayers were answered!
The day began early at 7:30AM. Our parking crew, led by Terry Karr and assisted by Stuart Dow and Jack Runyon, were at N. Lake Wire to direct the painting crews in getting parked so they could start painting at 8:00 AM.
We hope you enjoy our short video about All Saints'. Our goal was to not just tell you about our church but actually give you a feeling for who we are and what being a part of our family is like. We encourage you to look further into what makes our church "home" for so many people. Our church is a warm, wonderful place to grow and deepen a relationship with Jesus, make new friends, and be part of a family who will love you.

There were several celebratory reports of what God has been doing and continues to do among us at our Annual Parish Meeting on February 10th. Reports from our Director of Finance, as well as our outgoing Senior Warden, incoming Senior Warden, Director of Family and Women’s Ministries, and Rector were well received and all rejoiced in the continuation of our education programs, our emphasis upon worship, and the ever-growing outreach ministry in N. Lake Wire as Deacon Bob Johnson leads us in that.
Women confront a multitude of life-challenges these days. Many are in need of spiritual nourishment, focus, and authentic community to better handle these challenges. Some also might struggle with insecurity, broken relationships, loneliness, or change. Many women are finding nurture and grounding in their relationship with God as we meet each week.
Fr. Reid, Rev. Kathy, and the All Saints’ Vergers are pleased to announce that Henry Spake will be entering into Youth Verger training. He will be installed as a Verger-in-Training on March 17 at the 8:50 and 10:50 services.
Fr. Reid recently mentioned to me that he thinks about Jesus all the time. Of course, I responded with something like, “That’s great!” but actually thought something like “Really? That seems extreme. On the other hand, it is your job, so … good for you!” And good for us. After all, who wants a pastor that doesn’t spend a great deal of time thinking about Jesus? Fr. Reid’s passion for Jesus gets him out of bed in the wee hours of the morning to pray and study. It gives him energy to put in long days and drives him to work so hard for the rest of us. He has to do budgets, and run committees and supervise staff and all that – but always in service to the goal of helping his flock share his passionate desire to know and follow Christ.
