Happenings at All Saints'

Soul in the City Recap

What a great event! We had around 100 people show up over the course of the morning and we touched a lot of lives. Deacon Bob will be getting us an article very soon here to go into more detail of the day, but in the meantime, here are some upcoming dates. Our next communtiy involvement will be held on March 17, 2018 followed up in the fall of next year on September 29, 2018. Both of these events will be hosted by the Dream Center. We will provide you with more details as we get them, but save these dates!

Getting to Know Chef Bruce

Two words define the journey of Chef Bruce Tuttle from the kitchens of downtown Lakeland restaurants to the kitchen of All Saints’ church: Divine Intervention.

“That’s exactly how I’d define it,” says Bruce, who joined the church staff as Director of Food Services in April. “I had no idea that I would find my home here at All Saints’. But as soon as I came to this church, I had a sense that this was meant to be.”

If you see me approaching with a notebook and pen in hand...

Dear All Saints’ Family,

Last Sunday, Aug. 20, was a big day for me as I officially became a member of All Saints.’ My husband, Tim, and I have been attending since January and immediately felt warmly welcomed.  As I got to know the church I became more and more involved: attending Father Reid’s Monday-night “From the Rector’s Perspective” class, participating in the Spring Parish Academy session, joining the Book Club, attending a Ladies’ Night outing to Orlando to hear Beth Moore’s inspiring message to more than 5,000 people, and more.  A special highlight for me was attending the installation service for Father Reid.

Spiritual Milestones

As part of a scholarship program called SMART, I got a job at the Air Force Base here, doing Data Analytics. I feel very blessed to have a job that uses my Math degree and Statistics minor.

The Order of Saint Luke Adult Sunday School Class

In late April we started a class on healing miracles in the Bible which is being led by our Order of St. Luke teachers. This is not, however, a class just for OSL, but is for anyone in the congregation to attend and it has been very interesting! I asked Dr. Byron Hodge to give us a write-up for some further information. Stop by this Sunday for some thought provoking study in the Mark classroom during the Sunday school hour.

The Order of St. Luke is the prayer and healing ministry of our church. OSL members have been engaged in the in-depth study of the healing ministry of Jesus and have been approved by Fr. Reid.
