The All Saints' Book Club

What do the Mona Lisa, Camelot, a castle, and Paris architecture have in common? They are all subjects of upcoming readings for members of the All Saints’ Book Club!

Our Book Club meets at the church on the second Monday of each month at 10 a.m. in the John Classroom. We welcome and encourage those who love to read and enjoy hearty conversation offering many different points of view to join us.

Spiritual Milestones

8-14-17

Dear All Saints’ Family,

Greetings and love from Dayton! After spending the past 16 years of my life in central Florida, I have picked up and moved to southwestern Ohio. As part of a scholarship program called SMART, I got a job at the Air Force Base here, doing Data Analytics. I feel very blessed to have a job that uses my Math degree and Statistics minor.

I am writing to give you all a life update and let you know how much I truly miss All Saints’. Growing up in such a vibrant, authentic congregation under the pastoral care and leadership of Fr. Reid, Fr. Al, and our phenomenal diaconate and

Parish Academy Courses

The Spring 2017 Parish Academy session wrapped up the last of June, and as we enter into a brief summer hiatus, we want to warmly thank our four instructors who gave their time and talents to lead this important educational outreach for the past 11 weeks:

Fr Reid Hensarling, who taught A Theology of Word and Spirit; Dan Bridgeford, who taught Evangelism in Our Post Modern World; Susan Waldron, who taught The King’s Cross; and Phil Mays, who taught The Gospel of John.

If you missed any or all of the spring courses, you can find recordings to download on the All Saints’ Vimeo page: www.vimeo.com/allsaintslakeland.

The Order of Saint Luke Adult Sunday School Class

In late April we started a class on healing miracles in the Bible which is being led by our Order of St. Luke teachers. This is not, however, a class just for OSL, but is for anyone in the congregation to attend and it has been very interesting! I asked Dr. Byron Hodge to give us a write-up for some further information. Stop by this Sunday for some thought provoking study in the Mark classroom during the Sunday school hour.

The Order of St. Luke is the prayer and healing ministry of our church. OSL members have been engaged in the in-depth study of the healing ministry of Jesus and have been approved by Fr. Reid.
