What do the Mona Lisa, Camelot, a castle, and Paris architecture have in common? They are all subjects of upcoming readings for members of the All Saints’ Book Club! 

Our Book Club meets at the church on the second Monday of each month at 10 a.m. in the John Classroom. We welcome and encourage those who love to read and enjoy hearty conversation offering many different points of view to join us. 

  “It is so interesting to hear the bits and pieces that the members get from the same pages of the same book,” says club leader Linda Frick. “That must be what makes our group so great!” 

We hope to see you at a future meeting - even if you haven’t finished the book, or have read it at all.  The discussion is always worth it! The club is not limited to All Saints’ members so invite friends, family and neighbors to come with you. 

Here’s what’s on the schedule from now until the end of the year: 

Sept. 11: In the Heart of the Sea by Nathaniel Philbrick (the book some say was the inspiration for Moby Dick) 

Oct. 9: Mona Lisa in Camelot by Margaret Leslie Davis (about the time First Lady Jackie Kennedy persuaded the Louvre to loan the Mona Lisa to the United States)

Nov. 13: The Women in the Castle by Jessica Shattuck (the story of three war widows and their children who take refuge in in the ruins of a Bavarian castle at the end of World War II)

Dec. 11: The Paris Architect by Charles Belfoure (the story of a French architect who is paid to create temporary hiding places for Jews in Nazi-occupied Paris)
