Reflecting on the Christmas Pageant

From the confident messenger who announced to Zechariah, Mary, and Joseph that they would play a role in God’s Incarnation, to sung ballads that encouraged us to bow down to the Lord and to honor the Christ child, to sweet babies and toddlers, to heralding angels, there were precious moments all around.

Our children from 6 months old to 5th grade told the Christmas story from the Gospels of Luke and Matthew with the help of youth narrators. The children acted, sang, and represented the roles of Gabriel, Zechariah, Elizabeth, Joseph, Mary, baby Jesus, Caesar, Caesar’s Guard, Innkeeper, the shepherds, the manger animals, the company of angels, the Wise Men, and a child to carry the Star.

The church was full for the occasion and all were delighted and moved by what the children presented to honor Jesus’ birth. We were also blessed by the musical offerings by the Youth Ensemble for the Holy Eucharist. Enjoy the photo album which captures the joy of the day.

The children and youth wish you a very merry Christmas!
