Many mistakenly think the Twelve Days of Christmas are the twelve days before Christmas culminating in Christmas Day - but that is incorrect!

In fact, Christmas Day is the "First Day of Christmas". Few people were actually sent a partridge or a pear tree yesterday, but God so loved the world He sent us His Son. Love came down on Christmas!

The Twelve Days of Christmas, or Christmastide ("Christmas time") is the festive Christmas season celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. The days begin on Christmas Day, December 25, and end on January 5 of the following year, known as Twelfth Night or Epiphany Eve. It is a time of celebration and feasting! The prepatory waiting of Advent is now behind us and Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
